Ingersoll Rand products, a global leader in professional tools and equipment, is expanding the MAX Series tool line with the addition of the 8000MAX Series Random Orbital Sanders. These sanders offer maximum power and productivity through improved features such as more power, lighter weight and reduced vibration for completing body prep and finishing work.
These pneumatic 8000MAX Series Sanders can perform on a variety of surfaces, including aluminium, fiber glass, plastic and steel, and deliver smooth finishes. The 8100MAX Series Random Orbital Sander and 8200MAX Series Random Orbital Sander Vacuum Ready models are both available in 3/32", 3/16" and 3/8" orbits. Even the 3/16" sander is powerful enough to tackle aggressive body work and produce a fine finish.
The 8000MAX Series Sanders were designed for maximum comfort, enabling technicians to finish their body and collision repair work faster. These tools are lighter weight than competitive products so technicians can comfortably run them for extended periods of time. The sanders are designed with approximately 10 percent less vibration, ergonomic rubber grips and anti-slip hand supports to help reduce operation fatigue.
“These sanders offer even more power and better perfomance with increased stability, comfort and a finer finish. They have also undergone a series of field trials and have been very well received by technicians,” said Andy Mandel, market segment leader – professional tools, Ingersoll Rand. “One user went as far as saying he ‘loved it’ and begged to keep the trial unit!”
These sanders are built for increased tool power and stability. They are operated by a powerful 0.27 hp motor and variable-speed regulator. The multi-hole slim backing pad lowers the sander’s center of mass, making it more stable; while the design of the patented throttle lever makes it easier to operate. The multi-hole backing pad also helps improve the removal of particulate from the work surface, increasing the abrasive pad’s life and productivity.
