Fire is the most feared occurrence for any racer. Whenever a race car impacts the retaining wall, turns over in a roll-over crash, turns over on its side, even slams down to earth after a violent wheel stand, raw fuel can surge or splash out of the carburetor vent tubes. The average carburetor float bowl contains more than enough fuel to ignite a serious fire. And once the fire starts it could be “goodbye race car”.
The solution: Accufab Vent Tube Fuel Restrictors, a simple and inexpensive ball-check valve, easily installed on each vent tube will minimize or restrict raw fuel surge through the vent tubes without restricting the vent tube’s ability to VENT.
