Proform® Parts has released a Ford Racing carbon fiber style dress-up kit for the small-block 289/302/351W engines. These are stamped steel valve covers, with a smooth, decorative carbon fiber appearing film adhered to the surface, combining the strength of steel with the high-tech appearance of carbon fiber. This popular kit is an aggressive looking, very affordable alternative to extremely expensive carbon fiber parts of undetermined quality and durability. These valve covers are not for use on engines with unmodified EFI manifolds.
This very cool dress up kit (part number 302-520) includes a pair of tall valve covers with rubber grommets and baffles installed, a 13-inch air cleaner with black Ford Oval center nut, and a 3-inch push-in breather cap. Suggested retail for this kit is $299. All these parts are available separately. The tall Ford Racing valve covers allow for the installation of Proform Parts extruded aluminum small-block Ford roller-rocker arms, also available separately.
