Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival to Hold Collector Car Auction

The Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival, held each October in downtown Lakeland, FL, has announced plans for it's first collector car auction. This year's auto festival and collector car auction will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011. The inaugural auction will be held in the center of Main Street adjacent to downtown Lakeland's historic Munn Park and will include many affordable collector cars for enthusiasts looking to enter the collector car hobby or add to an existing collection.
Higgenbotham Auctioneers International of Lakeland, Florida has been selected to conduct the auction on behalf of Lake Mirror Classic, Inc. Chairman Ford Heacock, said; "The choice of Marty Higgenbotham as our auctioneer was easy because of his firms 50+ years of experience and their national reputation for running a clean auction." He added, "Our objective is to offer a uniquely different collector car auction experience. The Main Street site was selected so the auction can be held right in the center of the already established Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival."
When asked about consignments, Higgenbothham replied' "This is a grassroots auction where the average guy can come and afford to buy a collector car. We anticipate most of the cars will be valued between $15,000 to $50,000". Event organizer and Chairman Ford Heacock, President of Heacock Classic Car Insurance says, "The vehicles will be displayed on Main Street for public review on Saturday, October 15th. We want this experience to be different from the large "made for TV" auctions you see on cable. Our Auctioneer, Marty Higgenbotham, is so entertaining and fun to watch. He has a special talent for putting people in the right mood to buy and sell".
