HPI Racing Goes Old School Ford

HPI's selectrion of bodies for radio controlled vehicles continues to grow. Check out the latest Ford body in today's blog.

The folks at HPI have been building R/C products for 25 years and they're known in the hobby for having some of the most accurate scale bodies, fully licensed by their full size counterparts. HPI has enjoyed a long relationship with Ford, putting out numerous Mustang bodies, as well as Ford trucks and other Ford cars.

HPI 1979 Ford F-150 Pickup Body Rear

This month HPI released their 1979 Ford F-150 body for monster truck sized R/C trucks, like thier own HPI Savage (it'll fit the Traxxas T-Maxx and others with little effort). Like all HPI bodies the polycarbonate body comes with paint overspray mask (to keep the outside shiny while painting), paint masks for the windows, and a full insrtuction sheet with decals. Of course it is a licensed Ford replica so it has all the little details you'd expect.

As soon as we saw these images we thought "original Big Foot" replica. We just need to find a couple of period photos of Big Foot #1 and make one of these '79 F-150 bodies our own!

You can find this new body at your favorite hobby store or online. Just ask for HPI #105127 (a Supercab version for long chassis trucks is available as HPI #105132). It'll set you back about $35, but you know you want one!
