Build Your One of a Kind Mustang! Ford's new online tool allows users to build custom 2012 Mustangs and "battle" their friends online to see who has the coolest ride. Check out the blog for more details. You may not be able to swing that new car payment, but you can certainly dream up your own custom 2012 Ford Mustang using Ford's cool new Mustang Customizer tool found at www.ford.com/cars/mustang/customizer. You can choose from a V-6, GT, Boss 302, or GT 500 model and then start clicking away at literally thousands of combinations of graphics, spoilers, lights, hoods, wings, wheels, and more. Using factory parts as well as parts from performance partners like Roush and Ford Racing, you can really have a lot of fun. Then, once you've finished your custom build you can save it as wallpaper for your computer and also register your ride through your Facebook login and battle against your friend's custom Mustang builds. We gave it a try and had a lot of fun. The Mustang we built is shown here. We started with the very capable V-6 model, added some retro cues like quarter window louvers, grille corral and bars, and lower side scoops, then added HID headlights, Roush wheels, glass roof, rear wing with backup camera, and a subtle black stripe to offset the bright gold hue. We'd certainly love to park this next to our real '66 Anniversary Gold Mustang someday.
