National Parts Depot’s 18th Annual Ford & Mustang Round-up is January 7th-8th 2012 at the beautiful Silver Springs Park in Ocala, Florida!
We've been given word by the folks at NPD that next year's show date has been set. The annual Silver Springs Ford & Mustang Roundup is the biggest Ford and Mustang based show in Florida and people from as far away as Canada come to it every year. Read NPD's press release they sent us today (below) and we'll see you there!
A little background on Silver Springs and the show to give you an idea of what it entails:
We’ve held the Mustang and Fords show in January at Silver Springs, a nature theme park in Ocala, Florida, for the past 17 years. We've always experienced great turnouts for this show (930 cars and trucks in 2011 from a little over 1,500 pre-registrations). Add in the attraction of having other things to do besides check out the cars, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more, and the show is second-to-none for great family fun. Check out www.silversprings.com for more on the park and all its attractions.
The 2-day show (Saturday and Sunday) also incorporates a cruise to Cedar Key from NPD’s main warehouse in Ocala on Friday morning January 6th. Participants start gathering around 8 am, and all are welcome to tour/browse NPD’s extensive private car and truck collection (180 cars and trucks) before a short driver’s meeting detailing the cruise around 9-9:30 am, then the cruise departs. After a short trip up Interstate 75, cruisers exit and then travel back roads through Ocala’s horse farm country at easy driving speeds on the way to scenic Cedar Key. The trip takes about 1-1/2 hours each way, and when arriving in Cedar Key participants can eat lunch, peruse the shops or enjoy the views of this small fishing community before returning to Ocala. Once back in Ocala, the opportunity to check out NPD’s car and truck collection will once again be available, and VMP Tuning will be on-hand with their mobile Dynojet chassis dyno, and participants can make two pulls with A/F ratio for $65. The highest pull will receive a goodie bag from NPD.
The first 1,000 cars to pre-register by a January 1st, 2012 receive free entry into the park for car, driver and one passenger. Any entry postmarked after 01/02/12, the day of show or beyond the 1,000-car threshold may purchase the show package for a reduced rate versus a standard park entrance ticket (price to be determined), which still includes passes for driver and one passenger. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fee of $29.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10 (prices current as of January 2011 and subject to change).
The registration form will be on our website www.npdlink.com in the coming months.
