Hobby Products International (HPI) Releases Their Latest Classic Mustang Body Shell
Got an R/C car? You a big Mustang fan? Well check out today's blog for the exciting news.
OK, I guess "exciting" is all in the eye of the beholder, but regular readers know I'm a huge R/C buff (seven vehicles and counting these days). HPI is one of my favorite brands and they are known throughout the hobby for having the most accurate licensed body shells (enthusiasts call them "lids").
First came the '66 Shelby GT350 fastback, then later the '66 Mustang GT fastback. Now they have a '66 Mustang GT coupe shell to add to their line of classics (they also have SN-95 and '05 and up Mustang bodies too). Of course it's not just Mustangs that HPI makes in the Ford world, you can find the Focus, the Ford GT, the Saleen S7, Ford F-series, and more for your own R/C car or truck. I'm ordering a '66 coupe myself and plan to paint it to match my '66 coupe and display them together when I take the Mustang to shows!

Each body shell comes in clear polycarbonate with an overspray mask installed, a full decal sheet, paint masks for the windows and is designed for standard 1/10th scale R/C vehicles (200mm wheelbase) for suggested retail of $28. Hit your nearest hobby store or online vendor and order up PN #104926.
If you don't have an R/C car yet what are you waiting for? HPI offers their early Mustang body in both electric and nitro fuel powered models. Don't forget to buy an extra body and paint it up to match your own ride too!
You can find R/C tracks, both indoors and outdoors if you have a competitive streak, or you can just chase the neighbors cat for some fun (kidding!).
