Front Line of Welding Protection; Miller Introduces its Newest Design to the Digital Elite™ Family of Welding Helmets: Digital Camo

Having the right welding protection is critical, but it doesn't mean you can't look way cool when wearing it. Check out today's blog for more on this new helmet from the folks at Miller.

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. introduces the Digital Camo design to its growing line of Digital Elite™ Series helmets.  This new military inspired camouflage design offers a unique graphic that appeals to a wide range of welders; from supporters of the armed forces to outdoor enthusiasts. Features such as the Weld, Cut, Grind and X-Modes of the Digital Elite™ Series helmets are ideal for professionals and hobbyists who frequently Stick, MIG, TIG and plasma cut. The Digital Camo helmet is available through welding supply distributors in the US and Canada with a list price of $389 US. Prices may vary by distributor.

Digital Elite Series - Weld, Cut, Grind by Personal Preference
Building on Miller’s functionality, the Digital Elite series was designed for professional welders demanding control, flexibility, and durability, while remaining lightweight (only 18 oz.).  Digital Elite helmets feature the precision of a digital control that allows users to set and store their shade, sensitivity and delay preferences for various applications: Welding shades 8-13, Cutting shades 5-8, Grinding shade 3, and X-Mode shades 8-13. The X-Mode provides full protection for those instances when there is an arc present, but the sensors are obscured.   X-Mode eliminates interference from sunlight and out-of-position welding angles, such as those found in pipe welding or in obstructed or hidden-cavity welds—it also excels at low-amperage TIG welding (5 amps and below).  When activated, those four arc sensors that come standard with the Auto-Off feature, respond in 1/20,000 of a second, allowing for complete eye protection. “This helmet blends two ideas—the digital, military inspired design with the digital technology—to offer something new and honorary that we feel customers will respect and support” says Eric Sommers, Product Specialist, Arc Armor™ Welding Protection, Miller Electric Mfg. Co. To see the full line of Digital Elite helmets follow this link HERE.
