Permatex, an innovative leader in chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair, has just launched Permatex Plastic Threadlocker, a new threadlocker formulation that is specially designed for use with plastic fasteners. The new threadlocker sets up in 15-45 seconds, so parts can be put back in service without delay. The low strength formula is safe to use on plastic parts and allows fasteners to be removed easily, without extra effort.

Permatex Senior Product Manager, Andrew Charleston, notes, "The use of plastic fasteners in modern automobile assembly has increased dramatically, and these plastic nuts, bolts, and screws are subject to the same effects of vibration and loosening as metal fasteners. However, they cannot be secured with traditional threadlockers, because the composition can adversely affect plastic parts. Permatex Plastic Threadlocker has been specially formulated to prevent vibration loosening and hold plastic fasteners together."

Permatex Plastic Threadlocker can be used for a variety of applications such as headlight adjustment screws, emblems, door panels, impact strips, dashboard accessories, consoles, soundproofing attachment screws, electrical component boxes, plastic knobs, cowlings, truck bed liners, hose fasteners, instrument panels, and more. Wherever a plastic fastener is used, Permatex Plastic Threadlocker is a secure choice.

Permatex Plastic Threadlocker is available in a 10 g carded bottle.
