GMP Diecast Announces Latest in Fairlane/Thunderbolt Diecast Lineup
Tasca Ford's '64 Thunderbolt is now available as a 1:18 replica. See today's blog for details.
Tasca Ford of East Providence, Rhode Island, had one of the more famous Thunderbolts. Helping with the development of the cars, Tasca Ford was already established as a High Performance dealership for the eastern United States. For the '64 season Tasca Ford was given a Thunderbolt from the first batch of 11 cars. This was one of the Vintage Burgundy sedans that went to the Ford drag teams at the time. This car was driven by Bill Lawton and tuned by John Healey and was a serious menace to the drag racing community where ever it raced. Perhaps it was the striking Vintage Burgundy paint was cause for its legend, or maybe it was the Mickey Thompson "Raider" wheels. Whatever it was this Vintage Burgundy racer is the one that comes to mind first when people say "Thunderbolt"

Like all GMP diecasts this new Thunderbolt, in 1:18 scale comes with loads of features, including opening doors, hood and trunk, folding seat backs, opening glove box, plumbed and wired engine, working suspension with poseable steering, and much more.
This new diecast is available now and is another of GMP's Acme Tracing Company limited editions, with just 1,002 units available world wide. Retail price is $119.95 and is available directly at www.gmpdiecast.com, or (877) 880-2809, as well as through any of GMP's dealers.
