National Parts Depot’s 17th Annual Ford & Mustang Round-up is January 8th-9th, 2011 at the beautiful Silver Springs Park in Ocala, Florida!

NPD forwarded us the following info on their signature event. Read the blog for details and links and we'll see you there!

A little background on Silver Springs and the show to give you an idea of what it entails:

We’ve held the Mustang and Fords show in January at Silver Springs, a nature theme park in Ocala, Florida, for the past 16 years. We've always experienced great turnouts for this show (close to 1,100 cars in 2009 from 1,530 pre-registrations, and although the weather was below freezing at the start of each morning in 2010, we still had over 600 cars). Add in the attraction of having other things to do besides check out the cars, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more, and the show is second-to-none for great family fun. Check out www.silversprings.com for more on the park and all its attractions.

The 2-day show (Saturday and Sunday) also incorporates a cruise to Cedar Key from NPD’s main warehouse in Ocala on Friday morning January 7th. Participants start gathering around 8 am, we have a short driver’s meeting detailing the cruise around 9-9:30 am, then depart. After a short trip up Interstate 75, cruisers exit and then travel back roads through Ocala’s horse farm country at easy driving speeds on the way to scenic Cedar Key. The trip takes about 1-1/2 hours each way, and when arriving in Cedar Key participants can eat lunch, peruse the shops or enjoy the views of this small fishing community before returning to Ocala. Once back in Ocala, cruisers are welcome to check out NPD’s car collection (over 140 cars), and VMP Tuning will be on-hand with their mobile Dynojet chassis dyno, and participants can make two pulls with A/F ratio for $60. The highest pull will receive a goody bag from NPD.

The first 1,000 cars to pre-register by a January 1st, 2011 receive free entry into the park for car, driver and one passenger. Any entry postmarked after 01/02/11, the day of show or beyond the 1,000-car threshold may purchase the show package for a reduced rate versus a standard park entrance ticket (price to be determined), which still includes passes for driver and one passenger. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fee of $34.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10.

The registration form will be on our website www.npdlink.com in the coming months.
