Enesco's Speed Freaks Line of Sculptures Puts The Look of Speed on Your Desktop or Bookshelf
The perfect gift for car junkies, Speed Freaks feature several cool sculptures based off of Ford vehicles. Check out the blog for more on these crazy looking, but fun to own sculptures.
Artist Terry Ross, who resides in England, created the Speed Freaks line as a celebration of all things fast. You'll find sports cars, race cars, muscle cars, and even hotrods and motorcycles in the Speed Freaks line. All cleverly disguised with trick names, these wonderful sculptures (about the size of a 1/24th scale diecast) are great conversation starters. Just place it on your desk, bookshelf, coffee table, etc. and watch people gravitate right to the Speed Freak and ask what it is!
Each sculpture, weighing in at a hefty three pounds, is carefully hand painted for exacting clarity and detail. The look of the sculptures are truly original, with oversteer induced slides, tires ripping from their wheels, and more for that crazy look of going 150mph while standing still!
The inlcuded box even has a street scene on it, allowing you to customize your display (the base board with skid marks is included too). We chose "Horsepower" from the Hotrod & Muscle Car lineup, which you can plainly see pays homage to a '66 Shelby GT350. Other notable Fords we saw include a GT-40 and Shelby 427 Cobra (blue with white stripes natch) in the Track Classics series, and an early F-100 as well.
