Centerforce now offers the DFX Clutch for the 2.3 L four-cylinder engine found in Fox bodied Mustangs as well as other Ford cars. The DFX is available for the 1983 to 1988 Ford Mustang and Thunderbird as well as the Mercury Capri and Cougar with either the turbo or non Turbo 2.3L engine.

This new assembly replaces the stock clutch and flywheel assembly with higher holding capacity pressure plate, which is designed as a direct bolt in replacement. It offers great holding capacity and excellent drivability. The DFX clutch utilizes the unique Centerforce centrifugal weight system for maximum grip and ball bearing design for light pedal effort. Nodular Iron pressure plate rings and reinforcements are designed to help prevent breakage and enhance safety. The DFX part number for the pressure plate and disc is 01228035.
