Ford Flex and Lincoln MKS EcoBoost Drag Race

Ford puts their new EcoBoost vehicles to the test on the track. Read our blog for the details and numbers...

The Ford Flex EcoBoost and Lincoln MKS EcoBoost went drag racing at Milan Raceway in Milan, Michigana few weeks back. Ford wanted to give local media a glimpse of the new EcoBoost powerrtain and what it is capable of.

The Lincoln MKS and Ford Flex 3.5L EcoBoost powertrain is rated at 355hp The MKS managed a time of 13.9 seconds for the 1/4 mile at 104 mph. The Flex managed a time of 14.5 seconds at a speed of 98mph.

Having driven the Lincoln MKS EcoBoost ourselves (and we're scheduled to drive the Flex with EcoBoost soon) we can attest to those numbers, as the MKS was a blast to drive. Imagine with a little programming and a few tweaks from the Mustang tuners what EcoBoost powered Ford products might be capable of down the road! Nice!
