APPLETON, Wis., Aug. 17, 2009⎯Hobart Welding Products introduces two radical new designs, the Bonehead and Hothead, to its XVS Series of lightweight, high performance auto-darkening welding helmets. Perfect for hobbyists, journeymen, farmers and home mechanics, the helmets darken in 1/12,000 of a second after arc start and feature an internally adjustable auto-darkening shade (#9-12), lens sensitivity and delay controls.

XVS Series helmets have a MSRP of $159 US, however prices will vary by retailer. Both the Bonehead and Hothead are available through farm/ranch and hardware/tool retailers in the U.S. and Canada.

For more information on selecting the right helmet suited for light to moderate applications, visit www.HobartWelders.com or call 1-877-HOBART1 (877-462-2781).

Break-Through Graphics with a Clear View
Earning its name, the Bonehead features a menacing skeleton clawing its way through the face and sides of the black hood; revealing a toxic green undertone radiating from a hidden world beneath. With a beady-orange eye, the skeleton clutches its shiny metallic Hobart Hood emblem atop of the helmet.

Offered as part of a Bonus Buy package, the XVS Bonehead comes complete with a protective cloth helmet bag and headgear comfort cushion, together a $20 value.

Sure to inspire the inner pyro, Hobart’s Hothead design delivers realistic fire and flame, which engulfs the shell of Hobart’s Hothead design. Pictured on top of a metallic black finish, the swirling heat and flames weave through a white-hot Hobart Hood logo.

These bold artistic displays are equally matched with high-end performance. All XVS Series designs have a 3.74 x 1.57-inch viewing area with two independent arc sensors that provide continuous arc-sensing capability. XVS helmets darken in 1/12,000 of a second after arc start and feature an internally adjustable auto-darkening shade (#9-12), lens sensitivity and delay controls.

XVS Series – Light Weight & Long-Lasting
Hobart Welding Products designed the XVS Series to be durable and efficient. The helmets feature a solar-assisted auto-darkening lens and two easy-to-replace AAA batteries, with an exceptionally long life of 2,000 hours on MIG weldingno recharging required. Weighing in at 1l oz., the XVS Series helmets are lightweight, comfortable and come with five external and two internal protective lens covers. Ratchet-style headgear adjusts for size and features a CoolMax® odor-absorbing sweatband.

XVS Series helmets are covered by a 2-year warranty. For a detailed spec sheet or free literature, visit www.HobartWelders.com, call 1-877-HOBART1 (462-2781) or write to Hobart Welding Products at P.O. Box 100, Lithonia, GA 30058.
