Kevin Tetz to Build One Off Custom Classic Mustang

The host of Trucks! TV and diehard Ford guy is finally building a car for himself and he shared with us the trick underpinnings and ideas he's going to put into the project. Look for future updates online and in the magazine, but for now check out our blog with the news right from Kevin.

Muscle Up Performance Chassis

The build plan for the LPGT utilizes the geometric and structural advantages of the Muscle Up Performance (www.muscleupperformance.com) full frame mandrel bent chassis, that features rack & pinion steering, triangulated four link rear, coil over suspension, NASCAR style anti roll bars, Hydroboost Cobra brake system, 13-inch rotors, 9-inch Chrome molly rear axle assembly, and a freshened ‘04 Terminator supercharged & tuned 4.6L Mod motor backed by a T-56 6-speed. It will roll on 18 by 10-inch 5-spoke wheels out back with 18 by 9-in front, wrapped in P285/35R18 tires.  Body mods will include ‘06 GT headlamps, fiberglass hood, deck lid, front valance and side exit exhaust borrowed from the Mustang Depot E2 kit, as well as LED Shelby taillights and other custom features. This vehicle will be dual-fuel, powered by gasoline and propane, with 600 hp at the rear wheels. Scheduled completion date is November 2009.
