Steeda Gives Sneak Peek at New 2010 Q-Series Steeda Mustang at Camp Steeda
We were tossed the keys for a short driving evaluation on the latest Mustang to wear the Steeda nameplate. Check out our blog for more and be sure to look for a more detailed story in an upcoming issue of Modified Mustangs & Fords.
When attending the annual Camp Steeda driving event at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida this past weekend we were happy to see two 2010 Mustangs in the Steeda parking area, an all black GT and this red GT you see here. Both cars are development mules for Steeda's ever growing 2010 parts program. Steeda president Dario Orlando tossed us the keys to the more modified car and asked us to put a few miles on it and let us know what we thought. Never one to back down on flogging someone else's car we eagerly agreed and set off for a few miles of open road.

Like previous Steeda suspensions we've evaluated the 2010 development car road extremely well, soaking up expansion strips and bumps firmly, but smoothly. The 2010 had already been given the full store with springs, bars, and rear lower control arms. Helping the handling further was the grippy Nitto Invos and 20-inch Steeda Spyder wheels. Behind those 20's was Steeda's current 14-inch brake upgrade, which bolted right on. Further upgrades planned include a shifter (minor redesign of the '05 and up part is required), a new cold air that's in prototype stage now, a blower, and more.

Like every Steeda serialized car since the mid-'90s, the new 2010 package looks like it will include the now famous Sidewinder graphics on the lower flanks and the Q-esque blacked out hood center. We really liked the blacked out taillights and trunk panel. It gave the 2010's questionable hind quarters a smart look. Further plans call for a new Steeda wing (the current wing will not work), as well as other possible aero management parts.
We hope to get a chance to revisit Steeda's 2010 package later in the year when the development work is done, but for now we can certainly say they're off to a great start.
