Project Generation Gap's Body Shell Ready For Bodywork

Our '68 Mustang's fiberglass is here and we're ready to get to work. Check out the blog for more on the project.

Ever since we've gotten back from Drake Customs (www.drakecustoms.com) in Lake Havasu, Arizona we've been collecting all of our body parts to get started on our fastback conversion's bodywork and paint. The last peice of the puzzle, our '67 GT350/GT500 hood arrived earlier this week and as you can see by our blog photo we couldn't wait to get a few parts placed on the car just to have a "look see".

The majority of the fiberglass parts came from fiberglass manufacturer Maier Racing (www.maierracing.com), including the trunk lid and end caps, hood, lower quarter scoops, rear valance, and wheel flares, while the rocker molding ground effects are from Mustangs Plus (www.mustangsplus.com) and the front fascia is from the CDC Flashback (www.cdcflashback.com).

In the next few weeks we'll be gathering up our goodies and heading over to Classic Creations of Central Florida (www.classiccreationsfl.com) where their crack staff will massage our pile of parts into one seriously mean looking fastback. Stay tuned for more.
