This is to give all you car enthusiasts a heads up that Eric Bana’s new documentary “Love The Beast” will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 29th, 2009. The Incredible Hulk star has a passion for Fords and his movie chronicles his love of his own ride. Check out the blog for more info and links. Hopefully we'll see this film come to the States.
Eric’s BEAST is his Ford GT Falcon Coup (yeah, the Mad Max car) that he’s been building and rebuilding since he was 15. “Love The Beast” is his directorial debut and chronicles him, his first car, a lifetime of ownership and a lifetime of friendship. After years of precious restoration, Eric and his 3 closest friends, decided to enter the car into one of the most grueling and dangerous motor races that exists: The Targa Tasmania Rally. This would be a personal Everest for both man and machine, until…on day 4 of the race, tragedy strikes. The man who was hell bent on trying to convey how much he and those around him loved “THE BEAST”, had just destroyed it.
