Can You Think Up Good Project Names?

Help Us Name Our '68 Project

As some of our readers may know, we're building a '68 Mustang up as our next start to finish project. We now have an illustration to show what the finished project will hopefully look like. Check it out and read our blog for more.

We're about to start cutting away the rusty and damaged metal on our project car, courtesy of the talented crew at Drake Customs (www.drakecustoms.com). You'll be seeing the introduction of the project starting with the June issue (fingers crossed) and we had Chris Jones at Cars By Chris (www.cars-by-chris.com) make the killer illustration you see here.

In a nutshell, our lowly coupe is going to be transmorgified (don't you love Calvin and Hobbes) into the killer fastback shown here with the help of some of the industry's biggest names, including:

  • Classic Design Concepts
  • Dynacorn
  • Ford Racing Performance Parts
  • Drake Customs
  • Maier Racing
  • Stainless Steel Brakes
  • and more!

But we have one small problem, like most magazines we'd like to come up with a catchy project name for it and we're sort of drawing a blank (hey, it's been stressful around here lately!). So dear readers, what can you come up with in the way of a snazzy name for our fastback. Remember, it's going to be a father and son build and it'll also be my son's first car, if that helps. Under the hood will be a modular 4.6 Three-Valve with EFI, and a bunch of safety upgrades like three-point belts, four wheel power disc, power steering, and more. So lets hear 'em people!
