Time Travel

I was on MSN this morning - it seems that over in the UK a little experiment is being conducted where a 20 year old has to spend an entire month living life in 1978 conditions. Read the full blog for my thoughts on this.

 That means he has to give up his iPhone, his DVD, flat screen TV, all the modern gadgets he's grown up with and rely on a stove, old fashioned boob tube, record player and - rotary phones, at home and on the street. It got me thinking, what would it actually like to travel back 30 years in time - would we love it or would it get on our nerves?

We'd be thrust right into the era of Stagflation, hip-hugger pants, shag pile rugs and passion wagons. The Mustang II was just paving way for the new Fox, and we could still buy a really full-sized, Ford, Lincoln or Mercury brand new. Disco music was all the rage and Star Wars was fresh in our minds and muscle cars were cheap. I know we've been talking about the price of Boss Mustangs lately, imagine if we found ourselves back in 1978? I'd love to hear your thoughts - if you could go back would you want to stay in that time or do you prefer things now?
