Ford Launches Social Media Press Release Site

The site offers images, video, and text for use in a number of social media platforms, perfect for Mustang club use. See the full blog for info and the link to the new site.

You're invited to check out the new Mustang Social Media Press Release (SMPR) site at: http://ford.digitalsnippets.com/mustang/. Here you will find press releases on the Mustang (and other Ford products), news items, videos, quotes, race results, and much more. We're sure your Mustang club or forum will appreciate and use this resource as much as we will!

"The purpose of the SMPR is to offer content that is more digitally friendly than a traditional press release. The content is more digestible and can be easily repurposed." Alan Hall, Ford Communications Manager, tells us. The SMPR includes the ability to share content across social media platforms, such as videos on YouTube and photos on Flickr, plus you can sign up for a RSS feed to get regular updates of new content. Expect content to include the latest Mustang news, quotes from Team Mustang and SVT engineers, and weekly racing updates.

All the assets fall under the Creative Commons share-and-share-alike license, www.creativecommons.org/license, meaning content producers can use images, video and text however they like, provided it's for non-commercial purposes. We also have a "join the conversation" section, so send us your Mustang news coverage and we’ll share it with others.

For those of you who aren't familiar with RSS readers, here is a video that explains the basics, so you won’t miss any Mustang news: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0klgLsSxGsU
