While going through some old photo outtakes from the Mustang 40th anniversary show in Nashville Tennessee we came upon this image of a 1968½ 428 Cobra Jet Mustang .

At the height of the Total Performance Years Ford dealer Bob Tasca took off the shelf parts including a 428 Police Interceptor block, some 427 low riser cylinder heads and a 735- cfm Holley carburetor and created the 428 Cobra Jet. This car is one of the original 50 Wimbledon White fastbacks that Ford produced that year as factory racers. They were fast enough to clean house in Super Stock Eliminator at the 1968 NHRA Winternationals.  With the colorful graphics and Cragar SS wheels this car would be a  great subject for a replica.
